Beauty Blunder 7: What's The Order For Skincare?

Question:  I just bought a bunch of new skincare products (cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc.) but I'm not exactly sure of the order to use them.  They came from different companies, so I don't know.  Thank you!

Answer:  Great question.  It's nice that you're dabbling in different lines; that's how you find your favs.  Sometimes one company has one outstanding product, and the rest are mediocre.  As long as your skin is benefiting from your lotions and potions, good for you.  The order to apply products is from


thinnest to thickest.  This prevents the thicker products from creating a barrier that keeps the thinner products from reaching the skin.  So, cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, etc.  I like to put SPF on last.
