Tis the Season to Forget What Season it Actually is...

Hark the herald angels sing.... Wait a second, weren't there just little ghosts and goblins running the streets with pitchforks and candy in their clutches?

Yesterday, I took a trip to the drugstore with some of my roomies. Upon entering, we were bombarded with a halo of red tinsel and gold garland, candy canes, snowmen, slivers of peppermint chocolate, and the big fat guy, too.

What ever happened to having a break between holidays? We haven't even warmed the turnips, basted the turkey, or stuffed the stuffing into our pie sized puckers.

Unless the idea of Thanksgiving is like so last decade, I can't stand to see street side sweepers with scarlet santa hats ringing in Christmas before mid-November. Give it a rest! Let us carve the turkey, give our thanks, and enjoy some warm pie. We haven't even had the parade yet, but when we do, you know what that means.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

For now, let the big guy enjoy a couple of brewskis poolside. He'll be better to you for it!

The day after Halloween I thought I heard something strange. Yes it was "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." Oh no it can't be Christmas. I don't remember having Thanksgiving. People must have complained because after a day of hearing Christmas music the A&P is now playing Oldies.
