NeoCell Beauty Supplements for the Skin

NeoCell Product Review and a Sneak Peak at My Beauty Supplements

Beauty lovers, pay attention!

In honor of being told that my skin looks “resurfaced and dewy” today (just imagine the big grin that gave me), I thought I’d share with you two of my latest beauty secrets in the form of supplements*.

Product Review:

NeoCell is a company whose products are sold at Whole Foods, GNC, The Vitamin Shoppe and others. Recently, I tried two items from their line: Hyaluronic Acid Capsules and Super Collagen Powder

Since Hyaluronic Acid is a proven hydration powerhouse, I knew this supplement would give my body useful moisture. The capsules are small, white and easy to swallow—even for those who hate taking pills. I take two early in the morning, before eating, and wait 30 minutes (though the bottle says you can wait 20 minutes) before scarfing down my usual breakfast.

This special from ABC News uncovers the impressive health and beauty benefits Hyaluronic Acid has had on the people in Yuzurihara, Japan:

Collagen gives the skin its youthful appearance, and it becomes less abundant as we age, so I was practically jumping up and down when my package arrived with NeoCell's Super Collagen Powder. This item comes with a pre-measured scoop, so you don't have to rely on your own measuring skills.

I add one scoop to a small amount of water and give it a good stir for a few minutes to break up any clumps. Then, I add more water as the label suggests. This supplement isn't disguised with artificial flavoring, however, you can use orange juice if you don't care for the natural taste. I drink it once a day and wait 30 minutes before eating, like the label suggests.

After the compliments I've received on my skin, I'm convinced that the above supplements have contributed to my "resurfaced and dewy" complexion (along with having healthy eating habits, additional supplements and an everyday skincare regimen). As with anything, consult your doctor for recommendations and a professional opinion regarding supplements—even if they're just for beauty.

NeoCell products are Gluten-Free, which is also great for people like me who have sensitivities.

*Always consult with your doctor before taking any supplements.

What are your skincare secrets? Have you ever tried any of these supplements? Do you know of any others that work?
