Thoughts at 8 a.m.
It's early, the clouds are hovering smoke gray above the window, but out there in the near distance is a break. Baby blue sky and fluffy white dumpling clouds appear. They're ready to be seen and I am ready to see them. My neighbors shed looks like an unsliced loaf of bread. It takes on the perfect shape, ironically only missing the end piece that no one usually wants. The face is pale beige and top is crust brown. The trees behind it used to look like huge broccolli stalks until they were chopped down, not for a giant to gnaw on, nor for any real purpose other than the view. I wonder to myself what's more beautiful than nature?
