Beauty Around The World

This oily wax is extracted from the seeds of a desert shrub, and it's widely used in cosmetics to condition the hair and lubricate the skin.  Isn't it something how many oily substances are actually utilized for beauty?  When I was younger, and my face a lot greasier, I thought oil was the enemy.  Now, in my twenties, I can't get enough of the stuff.

Though Native Americans have known about this beauty secret for centuries, U.S. cosmetic companies have recently started promoting this product in almost everything.

Do you think you know what it is?  Take a guess, and see if you're right!

If you said Jojoba Oil, you're right.

You can find this natural oil in:

  • shampoos
  • conditioners
  • moisturizers
  • sunscreens
  • treatments for wrinkles and dry skin
Have you ever heard of jojoba oil? Do you use it in your beauty regimen?

I used Jojoba oil to massage clients in massage school. I learned quickly that a little goes a long way and the oil does not last forever. It has a horrible smell that you can't mistake when it goes bad!

I guessed it. I have used in shampoo. I'm going to see if it is in any of the other products I use.
