Going into the beauty industry is a great way to meet all kinds of people and to get your creativity out. It allows you to express yourself in a positive light on a daily basis and it will also challenge you to come up with new creations of your own. If you dream of being a cosmetologist, hair stylist or esthetician, there are beauty schools and hair styling schools that can help train you so that you can achieve these goals. By the time you graduate, you will learn the latest and best techniques and skills from top instructors and will be ready to work as a stylist, esthetician or even open a beauty salon of your own.

If this is not something that you’ve considered before and are wondering if it’s for you, ask yourself the following questions:
  • ·       Do I like working with and communicating with people?
  • ·       Am I creative?
  • ·       Do I want a job where I can instantly see the results of my hard work?
Still unsure? Here is what we are currently teaching our students:

  • ·       Coloring techniques, including highlighting and lightening services, slicing and tri-color
  • ·       Different cutting methods for the bob haircut, including ones that are inverted with lots of layers
  • ·       Loose waves and ribbon curls with lots of texture
  • ·       Wig making and extensions
  • ·       Makeup application techniques
  • ·       Proper nail care and trendy nail designs
  • ·       Waxing techniques

In our opinion, there are few industries out there that are as inspirational as the beauty industry, so if your goal is to make people look and feel good, and feel good about yourself in return, you should consider going into beauty.

Long Island Beauty School, which is a school for cosmetology  and esthetics, and Hair Design Institute, which is a hairdressing school  offer classes in various New York and Florida locations.
